Clinical Liaison Specialist

As a Clinical Liaison Specialist at MedStar, you will play a vital role in advancing the clinical mission and goals of our organization. This position requires a professional nurse with 3-4 years of clinical experience and a Bachelor's degree in nursing. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized assistance to patients entering the healthcare system, ensuring seamless integration with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care for a disease-specific subset of patients
Liaise with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure timely progress toward the best clinical outcome
Facilitate the evaluation of patients by interfacing with referring providers, clinical research coordinators, and scheduling coordinators
Coordinate the complex management and education of patients to ensure seamless integration with the healthcare team
Monitor triage lines for individual centers/programs
Screen patients for appropriate information and instruct them in the collection of samples and completion of tests
Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required
3-4 years of professional clinical experience required
1-2 years of previous triage or outpatient experience highly desirable
