Job Description

Prometheus Federal Services is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to develop a new clinical informatics service line for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This role will focus on creating innovative informatics capabilities and solutions to enhance care delivery for Veterans.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical terminologies, and interoperability standards. They will also possess excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to lead a team and identify and resolve issues.

Key areas of focus include education and training, human-centered design, change management and performance improvement, clinical informatics workflows, analysis and policy, technical operations, and growth opportunities in informatics policy analysis, documentation and interoperability, systems design and engineering, and risk management and security.

Minimum qualifications include an advanced degree in Health Informatics, Nursing Informatics, or a related field, and a minimum of five years of experience in clinical informatics with direct experience in the VA or other federal health clients.
