Position Summary: Under the guidance of the Controller, the Accounting Supervisor will oversee all general accounting functions, ensuring the preparation of operational financial analyses and comprehensive financial statements along with necessary supporting schedules. This role includes payroll responsibilities aligned with corporate directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the accounting department, encompassing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Sales and Use Tax reporting, Account Reconciliations, Accruals, expense reporting, census filings, and Inventory Management.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, Corporate Standard Policies & Procedures, and GAAP standards.
  • Assist in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information for both management and Corporate Finance reporting.
  • Support the month-end closing process, including account reconciliations and preparation of monthly and annual management accounts and reports.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Materials Management to enhance corporate initiatives and establish effective financial controls.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Supervise the Accounts Receivable Coordinator and assist in credit management and invoicing processes.

Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the payroll system, ensuring timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly and weekly payrolls using ADP Time and Labor / Workday.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws regarding earnings calculations, including garnishments.
  • Coordinate with Corporate and Payroll teams for 401K compliance and year-end reporting, including special or off-cycle payrolls.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
  • Conduct payroll analysis, auditing, and reporting.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, including V-lookups and pivot tables, and the ability to learn additional software to support financial reporting and daily accounting operations (e.g., OneStream, Sage Fixed Assets, Power BI, SmartSheets, Adobe Sign, ERP systems).

Additional Skills: The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple tasks effectively, demonstrating strong decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
