Job Overview

Position: Senior Quality Control Trainer

Location: Allendale, NJ

The Senior Quality Control Trainer is responsible for delivering comprehensive on-the-job training for Quality Control personnel. This role focuses on the effective onboarding of new employees as well as the continuous enhancement of skills among existing staff. The trainer will ensure timely and relevant technical training covering essential QC equipment, processes, and compliance with cGMP documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and assess training programs to determine requirements and measure effectiveness, monitoring key performance indicators related to training outcomes.
  • May oversee other technical trainers indirectly, ensuring consistency and quality in training delivery.
  • Evaluate the proficiency and skills of trainees, providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance their performance.
  • Monitor the application of learned techniques by QC personnel, offering guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of training-related corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Training Department to identify technical training needs and develop a robust training curriculum, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Create and update educational materials, including videos, guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Coordinate training initiatives aligned with Operational Excellence objectives.
  • Contribute to business process improvement activities, including the editing of SOPs and training documentation.
  • Provide technical writing support for training-related processes and documentation.
  • Manage revisions of SOPs and continually enhance the QC training program.
  • Prepare materials for new training initiatives and onboarding resources, including instructional handouts and evaluation forms.
  • Maintain accurate training records and track KPIs for training effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on the latest training methodologies and strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant life science field and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Experience in Quality Control is essential.
  • Preferred 5+ years in a training role, particularly in On-The-Job Training.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical methods and processes.
  • Familiarity with cGMP regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to deliver effective presentations.
  • Strong work ethic and accountability for work output.
  • Ability to work with specialized laboratory instrumentation.
  • Comfortable in a laboratory environment with standard noise levels.
  • Demonstrated expertise in executing QC methods.
