Position Summary: The Accounting Supervisor, reporting directly to the Controller, plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of general accounting, including the preparation of financial analyses and statements, as well as managing payroll responsibilities in alignment with corporate directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Sales and Use Tax reporting, Account Reconciliations, Accruals, expense reporting, census filings, and Inventory Management.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, Corporate Standard Policies & Procedures, and GAAP.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information for management and Corporate Finance reporting.
  • Facilitate the month-end closing process, including account reconciliations and preparation of monthly and annual management reports.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Materials Management to enhance financial controls and support corporate initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Supervise the Accounts Receivable Coordinator and support credit management and invoicing processes.

Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the payroll system, ensuring timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly and weekly payrolls using ADP Time and Labor / Workday.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws regarding earnings calculations, including garnishments.
  • Coordinate with Corporate and Payroll teams for 401K compliance and year-end reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
  • Conduct payroll analysis, auditing, and reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, including V-lookups and pivot tables, with the ability to learn additional software to support financial reporting and accounting operations (e.g., OneStream, Sage Fixed Assets, Power BI, SmartSheets, Adobe Sign, ERP systems).

Other Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, effective prioritization, and excellent decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
