Job Overview

Position: Senior Quality Control Trainer

Location: Allendale, NJ

The Senior Quality Control Trainer is responsible for facilitating and delivering on-the-job training for Quality Control (QC) personnel. This role is essential for the effective onboarding of new employees and the continuous development of existing staff through comprehensive training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and assess training programs to determine training needs and measure effectiveness, including monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • May provide indirect supervision to other technical trainers within the department.
  • Evaluate the proficiency and skills of personnel, offering corrective feedback and coaching during QC activities.
  • Monitor the application of learned techniques by QC staff and provide constructive feedback to both trainees and management.
  • Ensure timely resolution of training-related corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Training Department to identify and implement technical training requirements, enhancing the existing curriculum.
  • Develop and update educational training materials, including videos, guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Coordinate training initiatives related to Operational Excellence (OE).
  • Contribute to the improvement of business processes by revising SOPs and training documentation.
  • Provide technical writing support for training-related processes and procedures.
  • Manage revisions of SOPs and continuously enhance the QC training program.
  • Prepare instructional materials and onboarding resources for new training programs.
  • Maintain accurate training records and monitor KPIs to assess training effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about the latest training methodologies and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant life science field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Experience in Quality Control is essential.
  • Preferred 5+ years of experience in a training capacity, particularly in On-The-Job Training.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical methods and cGMP standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to deliver effective presentations.
  • Strong work ethic and accountability for work outcomes.
  • Ability to work with specialized laboratory instrumentation.
  • Comfortable working in a laboratory environment with standard noise levels.
  • Demonstrated expertise in executing QC methods.
