The Role

The Senior Vice President of Residential Energy Solutions and Market Development plays a crucial role in SPAN's expansion.

Integrating SPAN into new home projects presents a unique opportunity to deliver value to both builders and homebuyers, minimizing builders' electrical equipment and utility infrastructure expenses while enhancing functionality, property value, and marketability for home builders. We seek an individual with leadership qualities, enthusiasm, and a proven track record in sales to national and regional builders.

This position will be part of the Commercial Leadership team, benefiting from the demand generation and sales initiatives across the new home construction landscape—installers, distributors, and specifiers.

The Senior Vice President of Residential Energy Solutions and Market Development will contribute to establishing the SPAN Home Builder channel from the ground up.


Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate a comprehensive home builder sales strategy and execution plan to achieve sales targets

Identify and cultivate relationships within targeted homebuilder segments to help them distinguish their homes with SPAN Home solutions

Establish and formalize agreements and programs with large national and regional single-family home builders

Recruit and develop top talent to enhance SPAN's New Home Construction channel resources, encompassing pre-sale and post-sale fulfillment duties.

Conduct regular business assessments and present findings to executive leadership

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure programs are developed and executed in conjunction with marketing, supply chain, product, and operations teams

Partner with regional sales managers to ensure sales are effectively driven through the local certified installer network with high-quality installations

Monitor and influence industry trends and regulations affecting home builders in relation to energy

About You

Required Qualifications

We are in search of a
Senior Vice President of Residential Energy Solutions & Market Development who possesses:

10+ years of demonstrated success in selling to national and/or regional home builders

Proven expertise in technical sales: creating urgency, consultative selling, and closing deals

Strong analytical and operational capabilities in executing builder programs

A deep and authentic understanding of technology, particularly related to smart home solutions and sustainable or renewable energy

Ability to envision a long-term strategy and engage key stakeholders to realize that vision

Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

A collaborative mindset with a successful history of working effectively with diverse stakeholders

Experience in establishing a new vertical for a company, including team management

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

A positive attitude and a passion for rapidly advancing residential electrification and renewable energy solutions

Willingness to travel up to 50-75%

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with a national or regional homebuilder

The U.S.

Base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $250,000 plus benefits and OTE, equity, and variable compensation for sales-related roles.

This range reflects SPAN's good faith estimate of a competitively-priced salary for the role based on national, real-time industry data from companies of a similar growth stage.

This range indicates minimum and maximum new hire salaries for the role across various U.S. locations.

Within this range, individual compensation is determined by location and individual factors, including relevant skills, experience, and education or training.

This range correlates to the relative level of the candidate we believe we need for the role and may require an adjustment for candidates of a different level.
