**The Opportunity**

The Senior Vice President of Residential Construction Sales and Business Development plays a pivotal role in SPAN's expansion strategy.

Incorporating SPAN solutions during the new home construction phase offers substantial benefits to both builders and buyers, minimizing electrical equipment and utility infrastructure expenses while enhancing functionality, property value, and marketability for builders. We seek an individual with leadership qualities, enthusiasm, and a proven track record in selling to both national and regional builders.

This position is integral to the Commercial Leadership team and will leverage the demand generation and sales initiatives throughout the new home construction sector, including installers, distributors, and specifiers.

The Senior Vice President will be instrumental in establishing the SPAN Home Builder channel from inception.


Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior management to formulate a comprehensive sales strategy and execution plan aimed at achieving sales targets

Identify and cultivate relationships within targeted homebuilder segments to assist them in differentiating their offerings with SPAN Home solutions

Establish and formalize agreements and programs with major national and regional single-family home builders

Recruit and nurture top talent to develop SPAN's New Home Construction channel resources, encompassing both pre-sale and post-sale responsibilities.

Conduct regular business assessments and present findings to executive leadership

Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure effective program development and execution involving marketing, supply chain, product, and operations teams

Partner with regional sales managers to ensure successful sales integration through the local certified installer network, ensuring high-quality installations

Stay informed on industry trends and regulations affecting home builders in relation to energy

About You

Essential Qualifications

We are looking for a
Senior Vice President of Residential Construction Sales & Business Development who possesses:

Over 10 years of experience and success in selling to national and/or regional home builders

Proven expertise in technical sales: creating urgency, consultative selling, and closing deals

Strong analytical and operational capabilities in executing builder programs

A solid understanding of technology, particularly in relation to smart home solutions and sustainable or renewable energy

The ability to envision long-term strategies and engage key stakeholders in their execution

Capability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment

A collaborative spirit with a demonstrated history of effective teamwork across all stakeholders

Experience in establishing a new vertical for a company, including team management

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

A positive attitude and a passion for rapidly advancing residential electrification and renewable energy solutions

Willingness to travel up to 50-75%

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a national or regional homebuilder

The U.S.

The base salary range for this role is $230,000 - $250,000, in addition to benefits and on-target earnings, equity, and variable compensation for sales-related positions.

This range reflects SPAN's commitment to providing a competitive salary based on national, real-time industry data from similarly positioned companies.

This range indicates the minimum and maximum new hire salaries for the role across various U.S. locations.

Individual compensation within this range is determined by location and individual factors, including relevant skills, experience, and education.
