Job Summary


The University of California is in search of a Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations to spearhead the integration of essential clinical services across both inpatient and outpatient facilities. This includes oversight of Laboratory, Pathology, Imaging, and Rehabilitation Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities are equipped with the necessary clinical teams and services to achieve their quality and safety objectives, as well as operational requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining policies and procedures for shared clinical services.
  • Defining performance management objectives and tracking progress.
  • Managing procurement and resources to support core services.
  • Allocating space and equipment in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Providing oversight to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

This pivotal leadership position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the University of California.


Compensation

Qualifications


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, health administration, or a clinical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive executive management experience within a complex healthcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare delivery models, strategic planning, and financial management.
  • Exceptional collaborative skills with healthcare executives and institutional leaders.
  • Proven ability to establish metrics that drive operational excellence.
  • Strong financial acumen in budget development and management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to foster a culture of trust and commitment to organizational goals.


Preferred:

  • Master's degree in business, health administration, or a clinical field.
