Job Summary

The Childcare Site Supervisor – Group Leader is a key role in the YWCA Rock County, Inc. team, responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of an assigned site. This position requires a strong commitment to providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for children.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Program Development and Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of programs that meet the needs of children and families, ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations and departmental guidelines.
  2. Supervision and Guidance: Supervise and interact with children to help them develop physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
  3. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, snack counts, and other essential information, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  4. Site Management: Ensure the site is safe, clean, and comfortable for children, maintaining adequate supplies and equipment.
  5. Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, volunteers, and community partners, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  6. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring the highest quality of care and services.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; advanced degree in Early Childhood, CDA, Elementary Education, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years' experience in group activities and planning daily programs, with a strong background in childcare and education.
  • Certifications: Current CPR and AED certification, with ability to meet Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services licensing requirements.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to develop a team approach and work effectively with diverse populations.
