Job Summary

The Childcare Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our childcare site, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily programs that promote children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Supervise and interact with children to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, snack counts, and other important information.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, departmental guidelines, and YWCA policies.
  • Collaborate with staff and parents to address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and YWCA initiatives.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for advanced degrees in early childhood education or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience in group activities and program planning, with a focus on childcare and youth development.
  • Ability to meet Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services licensing requirements.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.
  • Registry level 10 with 6 credits in supervision/personal management or financial management course work for site supervision.
