About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team at Wellpath. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and retrieve medical charts for patients and maintain their flow within the facility.
  • Collect statistical data and maintain a sick call list for review by the Health Services Administrator.
  • Track medical record requests, lab results, and x-ray results for easy access and reference.
  • Schedule and prepare paperwork for 14-day and annual health assessments of patients.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patients' information and may assist in the job shadowing and training of new employees.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous correctional/detention facility experience preferred.
  • One year of health-related experience in Medical Records Administration preferred.
  • Current lifesaving BLS certification through AHA.
