Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and direct medical records to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Scan documents and records in accordance with department guidelines to maintain electronic medical records.
  • Process release of information requests for medical records, ensuring accuracy and providing quality customer service.
  • Obtain appropriate authorization for release of medical records and maintain confidentiality.
  • Transcribe referrals and document information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries from patients and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with the medical records team to ensure seamless processing of medical records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of medical office experience required.
  • 1 year of experience with electronic medical records (EMR) required.
Work Environment

The Medical Records Tech I will work in a fast-paced office environment, interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
