Job Summary:

Community Memorial Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Records Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and releasing patient health records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate record requests and process subpoenas
  • Answer telephones and log medical record release of information activity into the medical record tracking system
  • Perform advanced clerical functions necessary to maintain patient health records
  • Specialize in one or more advanced clerical functions, including coordination of record requests and subpoena processing
  • Work with Release of Information in a hospital setting

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • One (1) year of experience in Medical Records/Health Information Department
  • Understanding of HIPAA Regulations
  • One (1) year of working with Release of Information in a hospital setting
