As an Academic Records Coordinator at American Career College, recognized as a certified Great Place to Work, you will play a vital role in managing, monitoring, and auditing student academic records and attendance for campuses with a significant student population.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring the integrity and retention of academic records, conducting audits, maintaining a computerized filing system, and purging records in line with established policies and procedures.
Delivering exceptional customer service in alignment with the mission and vision of American Career College, while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations, is paramount.
You will contribute by:- Acting as the official custodian of student academic records for your designated campus.
- Updating and maintaining the computerized student information system in accordance with accreditation and regulatory compliance standards.
- Processing updates and ensuring accurate student statuses within the student information system (e.g., drops, leaves of absence, graduates).
- Ensuring that student and administrative files are stored according to established policies and procedures.
- Conducting thorough reviews and audits of student files to confirm that all necessary documentation has been collected and received. Proactively seeking and securing any missing documents or records.
Qualifications:
Two to three years of experience in a college records office, focusing on transcript evaluation, degree audits, and the management of student records, registration, admissions, attendance, and grades.
Familiarity with secondary and postsecondary educational programs is essential.
Knowledge of state, federal, and accreditation regulations related to educational programs, compliance, and other regulatory standards is highly valued.
Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
An associate degree in a relevant field such as:
- Education Administration
- Business Management
- Student Personnel
