Salary range: $1,850 - $2,174 (Semi-monthly)
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly
Position Summary: Under general supervision, this role provides essential support in recording, elections, and motor vehicle transactions while delivering outstanding customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are central to the position and the employee must be able to perform each function satisfactorily. This list is illustrative and not exhaustive, and duties may change at any time with or without notice. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Motor Vehicle Department:
(1) Execute all aspects of motor vehicle transactions, including title processing and registration renewals.
(2) Reconcile daily receipts and assist in preparing deposits.
(3) Complete end-of-day and end-of-month closing on the General Accounting Program.
(4) Maintain equipment inventories and assist with motor vehicle inventory.
Elections Department:
(1) Obtain state-required certification for elections within 6 months.
(2) Manage inventories of election equipment and order necessary supplies.
(3) Assist in the preparation and execution of elections, including data entry and scheduling of election judges.
Recording Department:
(1) Perform detail-oriented data entry for property transactions.
(2) Assist the public in researching recorded documents.
(3) Reconcile daily receipts and assist in preparing deposits.
(4) Issue and review marriage licenses.
(5) Receive land survey and plat maps, providing copies to the public.
(6) Assist the Assessor's office with scheduling hearings.
All Departments:
(1) Provide backup support to office staff as needed.
(2) Perform various clerical tasks including information collection, typing, photocopying, scanning, filing, and mail distribution.
(3) Successfully pass a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) background check annually.
(4) Occasionally travel for conferences, possibly overnight.
Minimum Requirements:
(1) Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of data entry techniques, office procedures, and equipment including word processors and photocopiers; proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software; principles of excellent customer service.
Skilled in attention to detail, handling high call volumes, and possessing organizational and mathematical skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public; complete a Colorado Bureau of Investigations background check annually.
(2) Experience/Education: High school diploma or equivalent; two years of clerical experience; acceptable combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
(3) Visual Acuity/Hearing/Speaking: Must communicate effectively through speaking, hearing, and seeing.
(4) Physical Effort/Dexterity: Requires light physical exertion and the ability to lift and carry 30 pounds; ability to use various office equipment and sit for extended periods.
(5) Environmental Factors: Works in an office setting with occasional local travel.
(6) Work Schedule/Characteristics: 40 hours per week; additional hours may be required during peak periods.
(7) License/Certification Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license.
