Role Summary

The Service Coordinator is responsible for managing the administrative functions of the service department to ensure smooth operations and support for mechanics, supervisors, and customers. This role requires a high level of accuracy and efficiency in various tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Labor Processing: Manage mechanic labor entries in the automated timekeeping system.
  • Documentation: Prepare quotes, memos, and correspondence as needed.
  • Communication: Handle incoming calls for the service department and direct them appropriately.
  • Job System Management: Input and update information in the standard job management system.
  • Warranty Processing: Oversee warranty claims and ensure all reports are handled correctly.
  • Research: Provide repair information to customers and staff as required.
  • Mail Management: Organize service-related mail deliveries and pickups.
  • Order Processing: Manage purchase orders efficiently.
  • Office Oversight: Supervise daily operations of the service office.
  • Manual Maintenance: Update the Service Procedure Manual and Standards of Performance regularly.
  • Rate Management: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of sell rates for various divisions.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Effective verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.

  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
Certificates and Licenses
  • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements

This position requires regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity. The ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds is necessary. Vision capabilities include close, distance, and color vision, along with depth perception.

Work Environment

The work environment is typical of an office setting, with responsibilities that require accountability and the ability to manage shop work orders.

Compensation

Hourly Wage: $23 to $27, based on experience and qualifications.
