Position Summary

The Service Coordinator is responsible for managing the shop office operations efficiently and accurately, providing essential support to mechanics, supervisors, and customers. The following duties are integral to this role:

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage mechanic labor processing within the automated timekeeping system.
  • Draft quotes, memos, and correspondence.
  • Handle incoming calls for the Service department and direct them appropriately.
  • Input and maintain data in the standard job system.
  • Process warranty claims and manage related documentation.
  • Research and provide repair information to customers and staff.
  • Oversee service mail operations, including delivery and collection.
  • Manage purchase order processing.
  • Supervise daily operations of the Service offices.
  • Update and maintain the Service Procedure Manual and Standards of Performance.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in maintaining sell rates for divisions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Experience in automotive, construction, or industrial sectors is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and assertively.
  • Customer-focused approach while adhering to company policies.
  • Organizational skills with a systematic approach to tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with email systems.
Physical Demands

This role requires regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity. The ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds is necessary. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

The work environment is typical of an office setting, where the individual will be accountable for their actions and responsibilities.

Compensation

Hourly Wage: $23 to $27, based on experience and qualifications.
