Key Responsibilities- Manage patient registration, including verifying insurance information and completing necessary documents.
- Coordinate schedules, including confirming appointment slots and tracking no-shows.
- Process patient visits, including verifying patient identity and completing medical history and consent forms.
- Collect co-payments and process receipts.
- Manage encounter forms and report on encounter control sheets.
- Track lab cases and schedule appointments.
- Monitor and direct patients from the waiting list to active patient status.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese.
- Strong computer skills, including typing and data entry.
- 1-2 years of work experience in a customer service role.
- Associates degree or certification in a healthcare-related field.
- Experience with health insurance entitlement programs and benefits.
- Knowledge of medical office administration and billing/coding.
