Technologies like Alexa leverage Natural Language Understanding and Automated Speech Recognition deep learning, while innovations such as Prime Air and the computer vision technologies in Amazon Go are also fueled by AI advancements.

Within AWS, we aim to share our extensive knowledge and capabilities with customers through three key layers of the AI stack:

  1. Frameworks and Infrastructure: Tools like Apache MxNet and TensorFlow.
  2. Machine Learning Platforms: Solutions such as Amazon SageMaker tailored for data scientists.
  3. API-driven Services: Offerings like Amazon Lex, Amazon Polly, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Comprehend, and Amazon Rekognition, enabling rapid integration of intelligence into applications.

Your Role
We are seeking a Machine Learning Solutions Architect (ML SA) who will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in guiding technology clients (ISVs, Digital Native Businesses, Gaming, etc.) in designing solutions that utilize our ML services.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients to facilitate large-scale use cases, architect ML pipelines, and promote the adoption of AWS for AI/ML platforms.

You will also engage with other Solutions Architects in the field, providing insights on their customer interactions, and create white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to empower clients in maximizing their use of AI/ML on AWS.

Furthermore, as the voice of the customer, you will liaise with service teams, submitting product feature requests to enhance our platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients' development and data science teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business and technical requirements.
- Design solutions that optimally utilize the AWS cloud platform and AWS AI/ML Services, including SageMaker, Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Lex, Amazon Polly, Amazon Forecast, and Amazon Personalize.
- Partner with Solutions Architects, Sales, Business Development, and AI/ML Service teams to drive customer adoption and revenue growth across the Americas for Amazon SageMaker.

Thought Leadership
- Advocate for AWS ML services and disseminate best practices through various platforms such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking engagements at events like AWS Summit and AWS re:Invent.

- Act as a technical liaison between clients and the AWS SageMaker services teams to relay customer-driven product improvement feedback.

- Foster and support an internal community of ML subject matter experts within AWS.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting within applications and infrastructures.
- 4+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
