Financial Controller
ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the month-end closing and reporting processes. This role involves providing direct financial assistance to the VP of Finance and collaborating with the finance team to prepare comprehensive forecasts and analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure timely completion of all month-end close activities, facilitating communication between Jerith and the Ameristar Perimeter Security Segment (PSS). The month-end close cycle, followed by a reporting and analysis phase, may necessitate additional hours. Collaborate closely with the VP of Finance and the finance team to adhere to corporate procedures, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). Review all financial information loaded into HFM for accuracy and prepare the monthly financial reporting package (LockPack) for management. Lead the forecasting and planning processes on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis for Jerith. Utilize independent judgment to identify and implement process improvements for standardized reporting. Maintain and refine financial planning models/templates while monitoring and analyzing Jerith's financial performance and trends. Coordinate and engage in monthly financial webcasts with the Ameristar Executive Team. Input financial and operational data (P&L, Balance Sheet, Headcount, Fill Rate, etc.) into HFM for Jerith. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and special projects as directed by the Senior Controller and VP of Finance. Suggest enhancements to improve the accuracy of inventory accounting and financial reporting by evaluating current costing methods and controls. Work in tandem with production management to assess and analyze production practices by spending time in relevant areas. Actively participate in the annual physical inventory process. Provide support for purchasing and supply chain management. Perform additional duties as assigned.Required Skills and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is required. Several years of relevant experience with a thorough understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Proficient in systems: Advanced Excel skills; experience with HFM (Hyperion Financial Management); familiarity with ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred); experience with reporting tools (Power BI or Business Objects); and proficiency in other MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access). Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with various organizational levels, including senior leadership. Excellent analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive business information. Minimal travel may be required.What We Offer:
