Financial Controller

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization. This role will be responsible for managing the month-end closing and reporting processes, while providing essential financial support to the VP of Finance and the finance team. The individual will also prepare comprehensive forecasts and scenarios as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all month-end close deliverables are met, facilitating effective communication between our company and the associated segments. The month-end close cycle and subsequent reporting may require additional hours. Collaborate closely with the VP of Finance and the finance team to adhere to documented procedures and provide accurate financial data in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). Review all financial information loaded into HFM for accuracy and generate monthly financial reporting packages. Coordinate the forecasting and planning processes on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Utilize independent judgment to identify and implement process improvements for standardized reporting. Maintain and update financial planning models and templates, while monitoring and analyzing financial results and trends. Facilitate and participate in monthly financial webcasts with the executive team. Input financial and operational data into HFM. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and special projects as assigned by senior management. Recommend methods to enhance the accuracy of inventory accounting and financial reporting through a review of current costing methods and controls. Work closely with production management to analyze operational practices by engaging with production areas. Participate in the annual physical inventory process. Provide support for purchasing and supply chain management. Perform additional duties as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is essential. Relevant business experience with a thorough understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Proficient in Excel, with experience in HFM and ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred), along with reporting tools (Power BI or Business Objects) and other MS Office applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with various organizational levels, including senior leadership. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive business information. Limited travel may be required.
