Essential Qualifications:
The Real Estate Corporate Controller serves as the principal financial officer accountable for the precision and reliability of our clients' commercial office real estate holdings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Closing Procedures: Guarantees that monthly and annual financial statements are produced punctually in accordance with accounting principles. Manages the closing cycle effectively.
- Budget Development and Forecasting: Collaborates with various departments to formulate achievable budgets and forecasts that align with the organization's objectives. Analyzes discrepancies between budgeted and actual figures to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
- Accounting Management: Supervises the accounting team to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and categorized. This encompasses accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the maintenance of the general ledger.
- Regulatory Compliance: Implements and maintains internal controls to protect financial information and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Industry-Specific Financial Management: Beyond fundamental accounting duties, the Controller will engage in tasks unique to the real estate sector, such as supporting property management initiatives like renovation budgeting or cash flow analysis, and participating in real estate transactions including acquisitions, sales, and financing.
