Essential Qualifications:

The Real Estate Corporate Controller is a pivotal financial leader tasked with ensuring the precision and reliability of financial data within our clients' commercial office real estate holdings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting and Closure: Guarantees the prompt preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with established accounting principles. Additionally, oversees the entire closing process.
  2. Budgeting and Projections: Collaborates with various departments to develop achievable budgets and forecasts that support the organization’s objectives. Analyzes discrepancies between budgeted figures and actual performance to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
  3. Accounting Management: Directs the accounting team to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and categorized. This encompasses accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the maintenance of the general ledger.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Implements and maintains internal controls to protect financial information and guarantee compliance with accounting standards.
  5. Industry-Specific Responsibilities: Beyond standard accounting duties, the Controller will manage tasks unique to the real estate sector, such as supporting property management functions like renovation budgeting and cash flow analysis, as well as engaging in real estate transactions including acquisitions, sales, and financing.
