Position Overview:
This role is part of our Nursing Support Incentive Program, which includes a financial incentive of $5,000 distributed over a three-year commitment.

Unit Details:
This unit consists of 24 beds, catering to patients experiencing various cardiac conditions, including heart failure, dysrhythmias, and post-cardiac procedures. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional care to both adult and geriatric patients.

Team Approach:
Care is delivered through a collaborative team model that includes nurses, care managers, advanced practice providers, physicians, pharmacists, and support staff. Specialized technicians monitor patient rhythms, ensuring continuous oversight and support for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures, including the procurement of necessary equipment.
2. In psychiatric settings, support patients in reality orientation and participate in therapeutic interventions.
3. Observe and document patient information, reporting significant changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
4. Aid patients and families during the admission process and provide orientation to the healthcare environment.
5. Deliver care as outlined in the care plan, including vital signs measurement, specimen collection, and basic wound care.
6. Provide personal care for daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including restocking supplies and transporting patients.
8. Reinforce patient education provided by the healthcare team and document patient understanding.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Certification as Nursing Assistant I with the relevant health department.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Minimum of six months of relevant experience in a nursing assistant role.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English, with basic computer skills.
