About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Manager to join our team at American Express. As a key member of our Global Lounge Experiences team, you will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of events at our Centurion New York location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the sales and operations of the event space in Centurion New York
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Develop and coordinate sales collateral, including event menus
  • Develop and oversee management of internal operating budgets
  • Anticipate and address client service needs as they arise and resolve all matters where expectations are not met
  • Maintain effective communication with American Express Hospitality General Manager, Membership Concierge Professional teams, and F&B operator
  • Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations and report on outcomes
Qualifications
  • 8 years of previous sales and events management experience, preferably in an in-venue operation with similar service, guest relations, and operational standards
  • Solutions-oriented, strategic thinker with attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to relay creative solutions and remain flexible across various problem-solving approaches
  • Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, and knowledge of Sales, Catering & Event Service operations
  • Exceptional project management and budgeting skills
