Description

An Automotive Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the repair and upkeep of a diverse range of vehicles including passenger cars, motorcycles, trucks, and heavy machinery. This role involves performing skilled mechanical repairs at a journeyman level, where the technician is expected to manage intermediate tasks independently while receiving general guidance from a technical supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct repairs and overhauls on various motorized equipment including automobiles, motorcycles, and heavy machinery.
  • Inspect, adjust, and replace essential components and associated parts as necessary.
  • Perform comprehensive repairs on chassis systems, including brake and hydraulic systems, transmissions, and differentials.

Equipment Utilized:
Proficient use of automotive diagnostic machines and a variety of hand and pneumatic tools is required.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma along with completion of an accredited automotive or truck mechanic apprenticeship program, coupled with significant experience in motor vehicle repair.

OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Florida commercial driver's license "Class B" or higher.
