Overview
Warren Henry Automotive Group is expanding its operations and is seeking an Automotive Title and Accounting Specialist with a solid background in accounting and title processing within the automotive sector.
This role is integral to our dealership's accounting team, requiring strong time management skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in computer applications. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a dealership environment or demonstrate the capacity to learn our DMS CDK system and associated processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage title processing for retail, wholesale, and dealer trades using DLR DMV systems.
- Handle out-of-state title transactions.
- Understand export processing and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate title records and ensure timely acquisition of titles.
- Assist with the costing of wholesales, fleet, and dealer trades.
- Process payoff checks to lienholders.
- Review accounting schedules weekly for accuracy.
- Ensure all documents meet compliance standards.
- Submit all aftermarket product requests and process cancellations weekly.
- Daily management of manufacturer invoices and credit memos.
- Foster effective communication with team members.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school) preferred, with a focus in Accounting or a related field.
Experience:
- Three to five years of relevant experience in Automotive Accounting may substitute for educational requirements.
- Familiarity with dealership accounting functions is advantageous.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in ADP/CDK Drive XL DMS is preferred.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work collaboratively in team settings as well as independently.
- Strong multitasking capabilities and effective communication skills, along with high levels of organization and flexibility.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
