Overview
Our growing automotive group is seeking an Automotive Title and Accounting Specialist with relevant experience in title processing and accounting within the automotive sector.
This role is essential to our dealership's accounting team, requiring strong time management skills, effective communication both verbally and in writing, and proficiency in computer applications. The ideal candidate should possess prior experience in a dealership environment or demonstrate the ability to learn our DMS CDK system and associated processes.
This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals aiming to advance in the automotive accounting domain while thriving in a dynamic work setting. - Processing title work for retail, wholesale, and dealer trades utilizing DLR DMV.
- Managing out-of-state title processing.
- Understanding export processing and its requirements.
- Maintaining all title records and acquiring titles promptly.
- Assisting with the costing of wholesales, fleet, and dealer trades.
- Processing payoff checks to lienholders.
- Reviewing accounting schedules weekly.
- Ensuring compliance by reviewing documents.
- Submitting all aftermarket products and processing cancellations weekly.
- Pulling and posting manufacturer invoices and credit memos daily.
- Exhibiting strong communication skills with team members.
- Completing other special projects as assigned.
Education:
- Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school) preferred, with a focus in Accounting or a related field.
Experience:
- Three to five years of relevant experience in Automotive Accounting may substitute for the Associate's degree requirement.
- Experience with dealership accounting functions is advantageous.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in ADP/CDK Drive XL DMS preferred.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work collaboratively in team settings as well as independently.
- Capacity to multitask, communicate effectively, and maintain high levels of organization and flexibility.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
