Objective:

This role is pivotal in facilitating hardware, software, and IT-related enhancements and transitions, aimed at establishing sustainable infrastructure solutions while achieving cost efficiencies. The position offers flexibility for remote work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan, coordinate, monitor, communicate, and finalize the organization’s operational and infrastructure initiatives, which encompass the relocation of hardware between data centers, the installation of new systems, the decommissioning and disposal of outdated hardware and software applications, as well as the deployment of new software.
  • Oversee activities within the defined scope and timeline of the Statement of Work (SOW) for each project.
  • Lead cross-functional team efforts and manage team members in a matrixed environment to fulfill the strategic goals of the Customer Experience, Operations, and PMO teams.
  • Utilize online project management tools, such as Confluence or MS Project, for tracking progress.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks related to cost, schedule, and quality in Operations projects.
  • Communicate project plans effectively to senior-level internal stakeholders and team members.
  • Assist in developing project playbooks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure standardized planning, execution, and decommissioning processes.
  • Manage project issues through ticketing systems, such as Jira.
  • Resolve project challenges promptly by leveraging appropriate resources, methodologies, and internal protocols.
  • Implement and comply with established ISO processes to ensure repeatable workflows, artifact collection, and project metrics.
  • Regularly track and report on project metrics related to budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Engage in additional projects as assigned to support the objectives of the PMO.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in project planning and execution.
  • Experience with hardware and software migrations.
  • Proficient in budget analysis.
  • Understanding of rental/lease agreements for data centers.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility.
  • Ability to organize diverse documents, schedules, and requirements into a cohesive project plan.
  • Capability to formulate coherent plans with minimal guidance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to a diverse audience, from technical staff to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing IT-related projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the telecommunications sector.
  • Familiarity with data center configurations and hardware specifications.
  • Knowledge of network architecture.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and resource availability.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills with the ability to lead teams in planning and executing unique projects.
  • Experience in facilitating meetings, motivating teams, and building team cohesion.
  • Proficient in project planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with MS Project, Confluence, or other project management tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
