Role Purpose:

This role is designed to facilitate hardware, software, and IT-related upgrades and migrations, establishing sustainable infrastructure solutions while achieving cost efficiencies. This position offers flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, monitor, communicate, and finalize the organization’s operational and infrastructure projects, which include, but are not limited to, relocating hardware between data centers, installing new hardware, decommissioning and disposing of outdated hardware and software applications, and implementing new software.
  • Oversee activities within the scope and timeline defined in the Statement of Work (SOW) for each project.
  • Lead cross-functional team initiatives and collaborate with team members in a matrixed environment to achieve the strategic goals of the Customer Experience, Operations, and PMO teams.
  • Utilize online project management tools, such as Confluence or MS Project, for tracking progress.
  • Identify, monitor, and manage risks related to cost, schedule, and quality for Operations projects.
  • Communicate project plans effectively to senior-level internal stakeholders and team members.
  • Assist in the creation of project playbooks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support standardized planning, deployment, and decommissioning processes.
  • Track project issues using ticket tracking systems, such as Jira.
  • Resolve project-related issues promptly by effectively utilizing available resources, methodologies, and internal protocols.
  • Implement and adhere to established ISO processes for consistent workflow, artifact collection, and project metrics.
  • Regularly track and report project metrics concerning budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Undertake additional projects as assigned to support the objectives of the PMO.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in project planning and execution.
  • Experience with hardware and software migration.
  • Proficient in budget analysis.
  • Understanding of rental/lease agreements for data centers.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to organize various documents, schedules, and requirements into a cohesive project plan.
  • Capability to develop coherent plans with minimal guidance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences, from technical staff to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience managing IT-related projects.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the telecommunications sector.
  • Familiarity with data center layout and hardware specifications.
  • Knowledge of network architecture.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and resource availability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and capability to lead teams in planning and executing unique projects.
  • Experience in meeting facilitation, team motivation, and team building.
  • Proficient in project planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with MS Project, Confluence, or other project management tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
