Located at our Annapolis headquarters, this position is vital for managing and enhancing healthcare facilities that cater to active military personnel, veterans, and their families throughout the Northeast United States, including various sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising multiple simultaneous projects that encompass facility construction, maintenance, repairs, and medical equipment installations, thereby directly impacting the quality of healthcare services for the military community. This role necessitates close collaboration with DHA officials, clinic personnel, and various contractors to effectively coordinate and implement projects.
Utilizing your project management skills, AutoCAD proficiency, and understanding of healthcare facility standards, you will play a crucial role in upholding and advancing essential healthcare infrastructure, ensuring that facilities adhere to the highest quality and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage exciting renovation and equipment installation initiatives.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to transition projects from concept to completion.
- Apply your technical knowledge to assess designs, confirm cost estimates, and ensure quality standards.
- Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Travel to various sites as required.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the construction manager/contracting officer at DHA and the clients at various clinics.
- Manage project data within Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS).
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience managing medical treatment facility projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for creating or updating project files.
- Ability to track, coordinate, manage, and execute up to six (6) projects simultaneously.
- Experience in drafting scopes of work and preparing basic cost estimates.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
- Facility Management experience is preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining NACI Clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with Computer Aided Facility Management software, including DMLSS.
- Familiarity with Infection Control and Joint Commission standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
