Job Overview

Objective – The main objective of this role is to deliver comprehensive productivity solutions to the Operations team and facilitate cost-saving initiatives through lean methodologies, assessing facility systems, and providing ongoing improvement training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Educate Management and Team Members on all 5S/Continuous Improvement standards and techniques.

· Oversee 5S initiatives across the facility with collaboration from the Corporate Engineering team.

· Execute 5S/Continuous Improvement Monthly Audits and assist in the formulation of procedures and corrective measures.

· Coordinate enhancement efforts in production at the facility and evaluate gaps for recommendations to leadership.

· Gather, manage, and analyze process data for improvement projects related to yield and downtime.

· Create and maintain performance (KPI) visual communication boards and tracking systems.

· Develop weekly/daily executive KPI reports.

· Facilitate daily plant meetings and summarize insights from all departments.

· Effectively deliver training materials to large groups of employees.

· Assist in promoting lean principles such as: Waste Reduction, Pull Systems, Kanban, Visual Standards, Flow Production, Set-Up Reduction, Standardized Work, Variation Reduction, Error Proofing, Total Productive Maintenance, Ergonomics, and Problem Solving.

· Occasionally work independently to resolve minor process issues without managerial guidance.

· Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a World-Class Safety culture.

· Support Corporate Engineers on special projects aimed at productivity enhancements, defect reduction, capacity improvements, changeover reduction, and layout optimization.

· Participate in training and benchmarking visits to affiliated organizations.

· Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Knowledge

· High School Diploma is required.

· 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Proficient in computer usage, organized, and capable of learning/demonstrating the correct use of all Microsoft software (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

· The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and a strong motivation to understand production processes.

· Must be adaptable and able to manage multiple projects as priorities shift.

· Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

· Strong analytical, reasoning, and mathematical skills.

· Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate closely with individuals across various roles and skill levels.

· Preference for candidates with a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles applicable to production, warehousing, and supply chain operations.

· Capability to influence management regarding proposed improvement initiatives.

· Experience with Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.

· Willingness to travel up to 25% and work off shifts when necessary.
