Position Summary:

This role is crucial for maintaining the outgoing quality of products through the implementation of inspection and testing protocols for electrical components, subassemblies, and completed assemblies, which range from small control cabinets to large modular structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing inspections of all electrical installations, subassemblies, and finished products.
  • Perform audits of electrical assembly, control wiring, power distribution wiring, and commercial wiring installation processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of testing and commissioning documentation.
  • Document quality standards and specifications pertaining to electrical installations and assemblies.
  • Ensure compliance with approved standards and technical drawings in all work executed.
  • Record material non-conformances identified during inspections of work in progress, finished goods, and receiving inspections.
  • Collaborate with safety, engineering, and manufacturing teams to enhance design for manufacturability, aiming to minimize waste, manufacturing delays, and improve overall product functionality.
  • Verify that product designs adhere to regulatory, commercial codes, customer specifications, engineering standards, and company policies.
  • Support the execution of the tool calibration program, focusing on electrical testing equipment, ensuring all items are within the current calibration period and functioning correctly prior to use.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to undergo background and drug testing.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Requires physical capability to lift, lower, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back is necessary.
  • Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of experience in electrical assembly/inspection.
  • Familiarity with Low and Medium voltage electrical installations, including switchgear, power distribution, UPS, and protection devices.
  • Knowledge of IEC, NEC, NFPA, and IEEE electrical quality standards and practices.
  • Understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers, VFDs, HMI, MCC, and UPS is essential.
  • Ability to identify electrical components, hardware, and equipment.
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and tracing electrical schematics; troubleshooting skills are strongly required.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Word and Excel; knowledge of scheduling software is a plus.

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be in the range of $23-25/hr, including Restricted Stock Units. Final compensation will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
