Position Summary:

This role is crucial for maintaining the quality of products by implementing inspection and testing protocols for electrical components, subassemblies, and finished products, which range from compact control cabinets to large-scale modular buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing inspections of all electrical installations, subassemblies, and finished products.
  • Conduct audits of electrical assembly, control wiring, power distribution wiring, and commercial wiring installation processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of testing and commissioning documentation.
  • Establish and document quality standards and specifications for electrical installations and assemblies, collaborating with quality management to standardize and train personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with approved standards and technical drawings in all work.
  • Record any material non-conformances identified during inspections of work in progress, finished goods, or incoming inspections.
  • Work alongside safety, engineering, and manufacturing teams to enhance design for manufacturability, minimizing waste and improving product functionality.
  • Verify that product designs adhere to regulatory, commercial codes, customer specifications, engineering standards, and company policies.
  • Support the execution of the tool calibration program, focusing on electrical testing equipment, ensuring all tools are within calibration periods and functioning correctly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Willingness to undergo background and drug testing.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Physical capability to lift, lower, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Proficient in identifying electrical components and equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 5 years in the field or 7 years in electrical assembly/inspection.
  • Familiarity with Low and Medium voltage electrical installations, including switchgear and power distribution systems.
  • Understanding of IEC, NEC, NFPA, and IEEE electrical quality standards and NETA testing specifications.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Word and Excel; knowledge of scheduling software is a plus.

Compensation Range:

The compensation for this position ranges from $25 to $28 per hour, with Restricted Stock Units included in all offers. Compensation will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
