DESCRIPTION

Dwyer Workforce Development's mission focuses on delivering holistic support to those in need while fostering careers in healthcare, mitigating workforce challenges, and uplifting the elderly.

Position Overview: Execute case management responsibilities and coordinate a wide range of support services for Dwyer Scholars.

Key Responsibilities:

Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the agency's mission, vision, and values.

Engage with potential candidates and gather necessary information to assess eligibility according to DWD guidelines and documentation requirements.

Maintain ongoing communication with participants through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Accurately document service interactions with Dwyer Scholars, trainers, and employer partners, including demographic data for program evaluation.

Ensure the maintenance of confidential records, updating contact notes, and tracking the progress of Dwyer Scholars in achieving their training and employment objectives.

Collaborate with Dwyer Scholars to identify obstacles to success and utilize self-sufficiency tools and resources to create actionable plans.

Provide immediate support to Dwyer Scholars facing crises, both on-site and remotely, including active listening, resource referrals, and goal-setting.

Facilitate job placement opportunities for Dwyer Scholars through proactive job development and effective communication with employer partners.

Assist Dwyer Scholars in refining job-seeking skills and workplace readiness to ensure successful employment outcomes.

Offer follow-up services to promote job retention and provide ongoing support to help Dwyer Scholars maintain a balanced life.

Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to the Data Privacy Act.

Demonstrate teamwork by collaborating with colleagues as needed. Attend required meetings, training sessions, and conferences to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

Handle confidential information responsibly, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

Familiarity with local community resources and social services relevant to the geographic area.

A Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Previous experience in human services is preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities, along with leadership and motivational skills.

Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.

Excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Proficiency in office software and a capacity for learning new systems.

Strong organizational development and critical thinking capabilities.

Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.

Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings when necessary.

Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse clientele.

Bilingual candidates are preferred.

License/Certification: A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
