About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Specialist to join our team at the County of Marin. As a Crisis Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing psychiatric assessment and intervention to clients in crisis. Your expertise will help ensure the safety and well-being of our clients, while also promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans for clients in crisis
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to clients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document client information and treatment plans accurately and efficiently
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field
  • Equivalent to one year of clinical behavioral health experience under qualified supervision
  • Registration with the State of California, Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
