About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Specialist to join our team at the County of Marin. As a Crisis Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing psychiatric assessment and intervention to clients in crisis. Your expertise will help ensure the safety and well-being of our clients, while also providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment for them to receive the help they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans for clients in crisis
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to clients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients
  • Document client interactions and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices in crisis intervention and mental health services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling, and at least one year of experience working in a behavioral health setting. You must also be registered with the State of California, Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. Additionally, you must be able to pass a Department of Justice LiveScan background check and possess a valid California driver's license.
