Collateral Management Specialist

Position Overview:

The Post-Closing Collateral Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of mortgage collaterals. This position involves preparing and managing collaterals in accordance with Warehouse standards, resolving exceptions, and handling various fees associated with mortgage insurance and government programs.

Compensation: $17/hr. to $20/hr. based on experience.

Work Environment: Full-time position located in an office setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare collaterals in alignment with Investor and Warehouse requirements.
  2. Coordinate the shipment of collaterals through designated carriers.
  3. Input shipping details into the Encompass system.
  4. Maintain accurate records of shipping information.
  5. Process payments for Mortgage Insurance Premiums, Veterans Affairs fees, and USDA fees.
  6. Manage files that are dispatched to specific locations.

Required Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a post-closing collateral or related department.
  2. Proficiency in Encompass 360.
  3. Strong understanding of conventional and government-backed residential mortgage loans, as well as investor guidelines.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail.
  5. Experience with Loan Origination Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. High School diploma or GED.
  2. Some college education.
  3. Over 2 years of experience in mortgage-related fields such as Post Closing, Mortgage Operations, Processing, Underwriting, Funding, or Quality Control.

Work Authorization: Candidates must be able to verify their identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
