Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Business Risk Analyst to join our Compliance department. This pivotal role will support our initiatives to reduce risks associated with financial crimes, including money laundering and terrorism financing. The selected candidate will manage the daily operations of Onbe's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Business (KYB) Program. Additionally, the role will involve reviewing collateral in accordance with network guidelines and banking regulations, ensuring compliance and quality assurance throughout the process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, and the ability to uphold high standards in collateral management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive investigations and due diligence on both prospective and existing business clients to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Collect and analyze pertinent information regarding business entities, including ownership structures, beneficial owners, and financial documentation.
  • Confirm the accuracy and legitimacy of provided information through reliable sources, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
  • Assess the risks associated with engaging specific businesses, identifying potential red flags or irregularities requiring further examination.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports of KYB processes and findings, ensuring all information is documented accurately and is easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance, legal, and risk management, to address concerns and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and standard practices regarding KYB procedures, implementing necessary updates as required.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance KYB processes, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency while maintaining compliance standards.
  • Review collateral documentation to ensure compliance with network guidelines and banking policies.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and assessment of collateral quality and eligibility, resolving complex issues as they arise.
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance throughout the collateral review process.
  • Identify discrepancies in collateral information and take proactive measures to resolve them.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address collateral documentation issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collateral reviews and assessments.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and guidelines related to collateral management.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in collateral review procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in operations, customer service, or a financial services environment.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of projects.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in corporate or finance Anti-Money Laundering compliance.
  • Familiarity with technology solutions related to AML compliance, such as Dun & Bradstreet, Tulio, and Lexis Nexis.
  • Certification as an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or readiness to pursue certification within a year.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Compensation: The base salary range for this position is between $54,090 to $65,000, with eligibility for an annual bonus. Actual salary offered will depend on various factors, including qualifications, relevant experience, specific skills, education level, certifications, business needs, and market demand.
