Job Purpose & Scope

The role is responsible for overseeing and validating the collateral and loan activities associated with a designated loan portfolio within the department. This position acts as the main point of contact for all inquiries related to collateral and loan operations, collaborating closely with the department's Portfolio Managers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Acts as the primary liaison for all loan operations matters in conjunction with the Portfolio Management team.
  • Engages in proactive monitoring, governance, and risk identification related to the assigned department, making informed risk decisions in line with established policies and regulations.
  • Processes, reviews, and reconciles client collateral and loan data, including client sales, credit memos, cash receipts, accounts receivables, inventory, and borrowing base certificates.
  • Establishes and inputs new loans into the system, ensuring compliance with credit approval documentation and loan agreements.
  • Handles the processing, posting, and reconciliation of loan advance requests in accordance with credit policies.
  • Conducts daily reconciliations of collateral, loan balances, and availability.
  • Calculates and reconciles collateral ineligibles and reserves as per loan agreements.
  • Sets up and monitors collateral and financial reporting requirements within the loan system.
  • Provides training to new clients on reporting procedures.
  • Trains new and existing analysts on processes and procedures.
  • Implements applicable risk programs and controls, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while effectively managing risk and compliance obligations.
  • Ensures all client reporting aligns with loan agreement terms, working with clients to resolve any reporting issues and escalating as necessary.
  • Suggests process improvements and quality enhancements as needed.
  • Maintains data integrity and accuracy within the loan system at all times.
  • Exhibits discretion and judgment in executing essential job functions.
  • Demonstrates good punctuality and attendance.
  • Adheres to Bank policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Familiarity with data mining software.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in collateral monitoring within asset-based lending required.
  • Experience with data mining software such as Monarch, AR Wizard, or Access required.
