Role Description:

The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role within our Inside Sales department, serving as the primary point of contact for customers in a wholesale business-to-business context. Responsibilities include assisting customers with order placements, addressing inquiries regarding product lines, pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, product applications, and inventory status. This position also provides essential support to our Outside Sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing inventory records to confirm the availability of requested products.
  • Maintaining detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Processing orders and documenting relevant comments and actions taken.
  • Promoting additional products and suggesting related items.
  • Resolving customer service inquiries and billing disputes.
  • Facilitating merchandise exchanges, processing refunds, and adjusting invoices.
  • Initiating product procurement for inter-branch transfer approvals.
  • Alerting purchasing agents when stock levels of specific items are low.
  • Distributing product samples and informational literature.

Qualifications:

This entry-level position does not require prior experience. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who possess a strong desire to learn and grow within a dynamic role at a reputable company. A focus on customer service and proactive problem-solving skills are essential. Ideal candidates should be diligent and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Relevant college coursework or equivalent training and experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience in sales and/or customer service is advantageous.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
