Work Environment

HYBRID – For individuals residing within a 50-mile radius of Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, this position offers a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), with the remaining days available for remote work.

Position Overview
The Project Manager will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions that align with business objectives.


This role primarily focuses on managing projects that facilitate both campus and online expansion initiatives, while also providing support for additional projects as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess project requirements and identify necessary resources.
  • Create comprehensive project plans detailing key activities, timelines, and resource needs to meet project goals while adhering to a systematic development process.
  • Monitor and document the completion of work plan activities, initiating actions to advance the project as required.
  • Oversee multiple projects according to established plans, measuring and reporting on progress to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Adjust tasks, sequencing, and resource allocation as needed to maintain project momentum.
  • Identify and resolve obstacles to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Lead project teams and manage related implementation activities in accordance with project plans.
  • Provide insights on resource utilization and coordinate staffing changes with management.
  • Balance the use of vendor and internal resources effectively.
  • Mentor and develop team members to support project objectives.
  • Offer constructive feedback to project team members as appropriate.
  • Communicate project status and issues to stakeholders, particularly regarding changes to resources, schedules, scope, and delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with involved groups to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and standards.
Qualifications
BS/BA degree required.
Master's degree in Business or Project Management preferred.
5 years of comprehensive project management experience, including familiarity with PMBOK or equivalent methodologies.
Experience in an academic environment is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address issues and identify effective business solutions.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to advance projects while managing multiple priorities.
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to engage with all organizational levels and thrive in a fast-paced environment with numerous initiatives.
Proficient in managing a variety of business and vendor resources.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with project management practices and tools.
Ability to influence and establish credibility with sponsors, peers, and subordinates by meeting project milestones, deadlines, and budgetary constraints.
Additional Information

In alignment with pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is between $70,696 and $124,230.

Actual compensation will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, including experience, training, geographic location, certifications, market conditions, departmental budgets, and responsibilities.
