Overview: The Field IT Support Specialist is responsible for delivering technical assistance to Lennar Associates regarding all computing devices, mobile technology, network infrastructures, and communication systems.

This position ensures prompt and professional support for technical challenges associated with the operation of Lennar's hardware and software.

The incumbent collaborates with the division office, remote locations, Welcome Home Centers, construction sites, and customer service offices.

The Field IT Support Specialist works in close partnership with other members of the Lennar Technology Department and external vendors to provide exceptional customer service to the Lennar team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to computer workstations, encompassing both software and hardware.
  • Implements manufacturer warranties for equipment repairs.
  • Maintains and updates Service Now tickets on a daily basis.
  • Updates ticket statuses and provides clear, detailed documentation on resolutions.
  • Assists various divisions in preparing and coordinating project plans for the installation of technology in Welcome Home Centers and construction sites.
  • Addresses printer and copier issues throughout the division.
  • Arranges and coordinates technical support for meetings and events, including video conferencing and traditional audio/visual requirements.
  • Maintains, upgrades, installs, and replaces hardware and software as necessary.
  • Reports server downtimes and LAN/WAN connectivity issues immediately to management and helpdesk teams.
  • Conducts basic troubleshooting on LAN/WAN connectivity under the guidance of the telecommunications or network team.
  • Provides weekly status reports to the Onsite IT Manager summarizing weekly activities and unresolved issues.
  • Monitors and assists in coordinating the activities of third-party support contractors.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Onsite IT Manager.
  • Offers guidance, advice, and support to fellow technicians within the organization.

Qualifications / Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of technology standards relevant to the role with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of executing complex requests for system installation or configuration.
  • Solves a variety of straightforward problems and analyzes potential solutions using established procedures.
  • Recognizes the impact of changes on the business and other IT functions and understands change management processes.
  • Identifies when issues should be escalated within the assigned area.
  • Begins to demonstrate an understanding of IT strategies and their relevance to the assigned area.
  • Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent IT certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the Field IT Support Specialist to frequently walk, stand, and climb stairs in various environments.

The specialist must also be able to operate computer equipment, communicate effectively, and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
