Job Overview

Mistick Construction, a leading general contractor, is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our project accounting team. As a Senior Construction Project Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and collaborating with project managers to drive financial success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the project accounting team, assigning tasks and responsibilities to direct reports and ensuring workloads are balanced.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with project managers to resolve financial issues, ensure financial success of projects, and coordinate with the Controller and President to assist with company budgets and financials.
  • Invoice Management: Oversee the preparation and submission of project invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
  • Subcontractor and Vendor Management: Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring they are aligned with contract terms and project budgets.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage project cash flow, ensuring timely payment of subcontractors, vendors, and other project-related expenses.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in office management or a similar administrative role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong accounting knowledge, familiarity with financial software (Acumatica, a plus), and experience with Microsoft Office Products – Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Leadership: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, and attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
