Mistick Construction, a leading general contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Project Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the accounting department, this individual will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing the project accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the project accounting team, ensuring workloads are balanced and project deadlines are met.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to direct reports, providing regular feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to resolve financial issues and ensure financial success of projects.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of project invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring they are aligned with contract terms and project budgets.
- Monitor and manage project cash flow, ensuring timely payment of subcontractors, vendors, and other project-related expenses.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in office management or a similar administrative role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, or a related field.
- Strong accounting knowledge and familiarity with financial software (Acumatica, a plus).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products – Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
