As a pivotal research center, iCGD is dedicated to analyzing genetic conditions across diverse populations, focusing on the causes, prevention, and treatment of genetic disorders.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong ability to navigate and appreciate the diverse cultural contexts relevant to this position.
Expertise in project management—covering scope definition, execution, monitoring, and deliverable oversight—is essential. A comprehensive understanding of operational processes within research or clinical settings is also required.The successful candidate will exhibit outstanding organizational and leadership skills, along with a passion for working collaboratively with a team of dedicated scientists and administrative professionals.
This position involves managing a substantial budget, requiring a solid understanding of relevant policies and regulations. Attributes such as initiative, independent judgment, discretion, and professionalism are vital for success in this role.The iCGD unites top-tier clinicians and researchers with a commitment to multidisciplinary research, innovative technologies, and advanced methodologies.
This role will oversee the implementation of research, educational, and clinical programs aimed at building sustainable capacity in genomic medicine and genetic research, ultimately contributing to enhanced public health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide managerial, logistical, and administrative leadership.
- Manage projects on behalf of the Director and senior leadership.
- Develop and oversee standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Supervise the iCGD website, cloud accounts, and GitHub repositories.
- Assess staffing requirements, liaise with HR, and participate in recruitment processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and IRB protocols.
- Mentor staff (e.g., project coordinators, data managers, research assistants) in achieving departmental competencies and certifications.
- Facilitate communication and problem-solving by conducting regular team meetings.
- Act as a liaison between financial management and research teams regarding project status and funding.
- Manage course and lecture series aimed at training healthcare professionals on genetic and genomic issues.
- Address technical issues promptly as they arise.
- Organize meetings with collaborators and visiting delegations.
- Oversee the schedule of the iCGD's director or supervise the designated assistant.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience. Familiarity with sequencing technologies is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Knowledge of IRB and grant application processes.
- Proven ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments is a plus.
