Job SummaryLadgov Corporation is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and processing them for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities- Login and order patient lab tests to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Issue collection kits to patients and ensure they are properly prepared for testing.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
- Process blood samples for laboratory testing, including centrifugation, pouring off of samples, and plating microbiology samples.
- Perform and review waived clinical laboratory testing in accordance with established operating instructions, ensuring accurate results within established turnaround times.
- Maintain accurate records of work accomplished, time expended, and prepare/review reports as required.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Phlebotomy Certification or Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Certificate through a nationally accredited agency.
