Cutlist Job Processor

Closets by Design is a nationally recognized leader in home organizing systems.
We design, manufacture, and install a complete line of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall-beds, garage cabinetry and more.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to immediately fill the position of Cutlist Job Processor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine sales designs to confirm that the design adheres to the company's product offerings and installation standards and limitations.
  • Identify and efficiently address design inquiries.
  • Compile an accurate cutlist that details all components and machining specifications required by the design.
  • Finalize the cutlist package and submit it within a timeframe that aligns with company standards and efficiency expectations.
  • Provide assistance to the Pricing, Production, and Installation Departments as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and standards of conduct and performance.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Quality Assurance – Establish and implement a personal quality process for every project to ensure that all items required by the sales package design are included in the cutlist. Specifically, ensure that all components ordered by the customer are accounted for and all necessary machining, special orders, etc., are accurately specified.
  • Productivity – The Cutlist Job Processor is expected to generate a minimum of $40,000 in jobs per day after three months of training.
    Subsequently, the Cutlist Job Processor should consistently seek ways to enhance daily output.
  • Continuous Improvement – The Cutlist Job Processor is expected to maintain a positive and proactive approach to exceeding customer expectations.
    The Cutlist Department's clients include: The Manufacturing Department, the Installation Department, and the End-User Customer. Each Cutlist Job Processor should continuously pursue improved methods for reducing job completion time, ensuring the highest quality for each job, and meeting or exceeding all customer expectations.
  • Attendance – The Cutlist Job Processor is expected to arrive at work punctually and minimize time away from their workstation.
    All employees are required to take the designated Breaks and Lunch periods as outlined by Departmental schedules.
    All employees are expected to minimize absence days whenever possible.

Minimum Preferred Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    College training preferred.
  • Familiarity with computer usage and technology is essential.
  • Experience in drafting or design is preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience is advantageous.
  • Typing speed of 30 WPM is preferred.

Required Abilities:

· Intermediate or higher proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
