Purchasing Clerk Position Overview:
Purchasing Clerk

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Compensation:
$22 - $24 per hour

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical assistance to the purchasing department.
  • Prepare reports, memoranda, and various documents.
  • Conduct vendor research and gather pricing, specifications, and relevant data concerning goods and services.
  • Facilitate all vendor interactions related to production requirements.
  • Generate and input purchase orders based on inventory assessments or special requests.
  • Oversee and monitor incoming orders.
  • Communicate with other departments regarding the status of incoming materials.
  • Reconcile inventory counts of materials.
  • Maintain purchasing documentation within the ERP system (Syspro).
  • Assist with additional tasks as directed by the purchasing manager.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer applications, especially spreadsheet software and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience in supply chain or procurement is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a clerical support position within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift and other industrial power lift experience or certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
